Why should you opt for therapy?
You may or may not require it. However, it can definitely help.
Therapy isn’t only for folks who are experiencing emotional and mental difficulties. A general stereotype is that therapy is sought only when you have problems you would like to deal with, and while this is definitely true, the therapy space holds a lot more potential to be of use to you. Even when you aren’t experiencing a distressing situation that requires quick action, you can use this space to grow within yourself. To have good mental health isn’t just to be away from distress, but to actively thrive with good emotional well-being. Therapy is a process of moving from a damage-control, illness oriented mindset to a thriving, wellness oriented one.

Hello, I am Anurag Nair (he/him), a counselling psychologist based in Bangalore.
I believe that each one of us is capable of overcoming our hurdles with non-judgmental support from a professional, and that every human journey is unique, requiring varied therapeutic approaches in order to lead a happier, content, and meaningful life. I’m passionate about normalising mental healthcare access and I believe that everybody, regardless of their mental and emotional states, should opt for therapy.

Anurag holds space for you to vent and reflect, and meet you halfway. They have helped me a great deal in addressing things I've been suppressing for years. Plus, they make a conscious effort not to overstep, while staying as a human rather than just a therapist who has it all sorted. Anurag refrains from toxic positivity and makes me comfortable to go at my pace.

He's wonderful, very patient... A keen listener and speaks eloquently. He's articulate with his statements too which is nice. Has a very friendly aura.

I have had difficulty in the past connecting with therapists, but I have felt an instant comfort with Anurag from the get-go. Anurag's kindness and the space they hold for me in therapy is something that I look forward to each week. I'm very appreciative of their understanding and support.
